LINDA AND MONA GET MARRIED FINALLY
For those of you who know us as a couple, you probably know the following about us:
On March 15, 1997 - 11 1/2 years ago we were introduced by mutual friends.
From the moment we met, we knew this was something special, we knew we would spend the rest of our lives together.
We were legally married on 8/8/08.
We share a strong appreciation of the arts including music and photography.
Our family includes not only our "human relatives" but also our animals - Buddy (RIP), Yoshi and Zelda (our Shiba Inus), Ozzy (our African Grey parrot) and Howard (our tortoise)
We have a strong connection to the East Coast: Mona and her family are from New York; Linda's dad is from New York and Linda's mom is from Pennsylvania.
Our only parent between us is Linda's mom Addie - who we cherish and is known as Granny to our animals.
Our favorite holiday is Halloween. Anyone who has been to our annual Halloween Party or has been to our house knows this and loves Addie's jello shots.
Our favorite city is New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina devastated us because of the trauma our New Orleans friends and that magnificent city experienced.
We love our home, anyone who's been to our home knows how we've incorporated our various loves including art, music and New Orleans. In addition to the design, we do all the work ourselves.
Day after Thanksgiving - while everyone else is hitting the malls - we're at the electronics stores buying all their hard drives and memory because we're geeks.
We love road trips - especially to New Orleans. We have our favorite spots along the way and enjoy staying in different hotels each night with the Bourbon Orleans as our final destination. Mona plays with various bands on Bourbon Street while Linda shoots photos and video.
Besides electronics stores - our next favorite store is Home Depot, where we buy all of our supplies including tile, paint and plants. Linda's favorite is power tools, Mona's is pool supplies. Our goal is to cram as much as we can into Mona's car - who needs an SUV?
Spring and Summer you'll catch us by our pool and at the OC Fair.
Fall and Winter we're busy watching movies, especially enjoying IMAX and doing home projects. We also enjoy reality tv and never watch anything live. TIVO is amazing.
On weekends we're early risers, going out to breakfast, running errands and spending time with our animals.
We own every video game console and we're in the 'Rock Band' Hall of Fame.
Our favorite colors are purple and black.
Our song is Etta James "At Last".
Every spring we celebrate Mona's birthday with the Disneyland 2FER - one day in Disneyland and one day in California Adventure.
We love Rock and Roll.
We surround ourselves with positive influences and those who love us.
